An enchanting setting surrounded by lush green Aravalli hills and the Thar desert separates the city from the rest of the world. Udaipur is less hectic and has a relaxed environment during the off-season. During the winter— you will be enticed to see the festivals since it is overcrowded from November to March. Purohito ka Talab is an artificial freshwater lake situated 12 km from Udaipur. A rainy season visit here is a mesmerizing experience because of its lush surroundings. Aravallis Mini Jaisamand Lake is also known for its natural appearance.
If you are a true nature lover who loves peaceful places, Purohito ka Talab is your thing to do in the city. It is less crowded and comes under No Fishing Zone for protecting forest life. To get here, hire a cab.
Purohito ka Talab is a popular pre-wedding photo-shoot destination among couples and photographers. The lake premises charge a nominal fee for cameras. During sunrises and sunsets Purohito ka Talab’s photos are the most popular.

Purohito Ka Talab is a small lake surrounded by hills situated 12 km away from Udaipur city. To reach here from the bus stand, you can take a local bus from Udaipur to Purohito ka Talab. The journey is 45 min to 1 hour and the fare is around 50 INR.
To reach Purohito Ka Talab from the airport, hiring a cab or a taxi is the best alternative. It will take you directly on the spot within 25mins without hustle. It is the most convenient way to reach this place as it is around 2 km away from Nathdwara- Udaipur highway road. There are no parking fees and ample space to park a car beside the outside gate.
Purohito ka Talab reviews state it to be calm, quiet, and clean. It is a lovely place to chill during winter and monsoon season. Enjoy a picnic with your loved ones, and you can also go for mini trekking on the hill. Nature and different bird species are a treat for the eyes.
An untouched well-preserved lake surrounded by lush greenery greets you as soon as you arrive. A wall with Rajasthani culture graffiti features images of horses, elephants, and traditionally dressed men.
You can sit at the topmost stair for a breathtaking aerial view of mountains, forests, and lakes listening to birds chirping, the wind blowing, and water syncing. People can take tents with them to set up and enjoy meals with families and friends.
